An outdoor wedding ceremony at Bridge House Barn

I met with the lovely Michael and Mel on a sunny day in June, to plan the finer details of their ceremony. Emma from Bridge House Barn was there to join us with a cup of tea for all and open ears to how Michael and Mel wanted their day to run.

As we enjoyed the sunshine, we listened to Michael tell us about the romantic proposal, where he had whisked Mel away on a surprise weekend break to the Cotswolds. Michael proposed with a bespoke engagement ring, going to a tiny workshop where is own Father had had the engagement ring for his Mother made when he proposed all those years ago.

Tea, sunshine and lots of planning !

Mel had always wanted an outdoor ceremony and in September 2015, her wish was granted. She walked down the aisle with her Father, to the sound of an acoustic guitar in the background. Michael and Mel wrote the most beautiful wedding vows to each other - there was not a dry eye in the house !

After the vows and rings were exchanged, the party began. It was a lovely relaxed atmosphere, no formalities; just friends and family enjoying lots of drink, amazing food and partying the night away in the gorgeous tipis.

Thank you to Robert Sail Photography for providing the photos. He has definitely caught how wonderfully happy this couple are.
